Saraca indica (ashoka) 4X10 inch Tree Pot
Medium sized tree with deep green pinnate leaves. New growth is an intense red-purple color and slowly changes to green as it matures. Native to India. Sometimes planted around temples. Orange-yellow fragrant flower clusters are born on main branches. Moderate growth rate. Slightly acidic soil. Applications of chelated iron may be necessary in areas with alkaline soil or water. Likes to be kept moist but can tolerate periods of low rainfall when well established. Full sun. Protect from wind when young. Outdoors in Zones 10 and 11. I'm not sure how much cold can be tolerated.
