Salvia divinorum 5.5 Inch Square Pot
The leaves are chewed by shaman to induce visions. This Salvia has large leaves and a showy inflorescence. Bright purple bracts with white flowers in the fall and winter. A rich slightly acidic soil high in organic matter. Warm humid growing conditions are best. Be sure to keep soil moist; this plant is not drought tolerant. In the tropics this plant needs some mid-day shade. Spider mites seem to be the main insect pest. Although we use neem oil and pyrethrum, I can not guaranty that plants will be 100% mite free. Plants will eventually need a large shallow pot.
