Mucuna bennetti (red jade vine) 5.5 inch pot
Common Name: Red Jade Vine. Vigorous tropical vine. Widely cultivated for large clusters of bright red flowers. Needs a large trellis, arbor or pergola for support. The lower trunk can become several inches in diameter in older vines. Fertilize several time per year with a balanced formula with micro-nutrients. Slightly higher levels of potassium and phosphorus will encourage blooming. Full sun. slightly acidic soil high in organic matter. Outdoors in Zones 10B to 11. Does not tolerate prolonged periods of cool weather.
