Lansium domesticum (langsat) 4X10 inch tree pot
Family: Meliaceae. Medium trees with deep green pinnate leaves. Native to lowland tropical rain forest of southeast Asia. Fruits are about 1.5 to 2 inches long and are born in clusters. The translucent white segments are sweet with a hint of citrus. This plant requires warm humid conditions. Slightly acidic soil high in organic matter. Fertilize regularly for best growth. Keep moist. Provide shelter from dry windy conditions. Outdoors in USDA Zone 11. In most areas of the US, this species will require protection during the winter. Plants will be ready to start shipping in June or July, 2009.
