Areca guppyana (5.5 inch square pot)
Common Name: unknown. Small understory palm reaching about 10 to 15 ft. tall. Deep green leaves have a few wide segments. Green crownshaft. Fruits are about 1.5 inches in diameter and are bright red when ripe. Reported to be used as a betel nut subsitute. Good container plant. Very tropical requirements; does not tolerate cool weather. Requires some shade and high humidity. Use palm fertilzier several times per year.
